Undefeated Flat Rock stops Polk Middle, 24-6

Flat Rock scored the first 16 points Thursday and went on to post a 24-6 win over Polk County Middle in Blue Ridge Conference football action at E.L. Justus Stadium in Flat Rock.

The Eagles (3-0) turned a safety and a long touchdown run into a 10-0 halftime lead. Flat Rock then upped the lead to 16-0 midway through the third period.

Polk Middle (1-2) responded with a 40-yard touchdown run from Karlen McEntyre. The Wolverines failed on the point after.

Flat Rock added a score in the fourth quarter for the final margin.

The Wolverines travel next week to Rugby before returning home March 25 to host Hendersonville Middle in their final home game of the regular season.
