Simpson tabbed as WNC receiver to watch in 2023

Polk County senior wide receiver Antonio Simpson has been named one of Western North Carolina’s receivers to watch in 2023 by the Citizen-Times in Asheville.

Simpson caught 50 passes for a school-record 1,094 yards and six touchdowns in 2022. He set a school single-game record with 224 yards on six catches in the Wolverines’ 49-7 win over Landrum.

Simpson has caught 87 passes for 1,628 yards and 12 touchdowns in his Polk County career.
