1 min read

Polk County’s 2026 football squad will make its season debut Friday, hosting a four-team scrimmage at 6 p.m. in G.M. Tennant Stadium.

The Wolverines will welcome R-S Central, Blue Ridge and the Greenville Hurricanes, a homeschool-based squad, for the event. There will be two teams meeting on each end of the field during the scrimmage, and the teams will rotate opponents throughout the evening.

Each team will run 10 plays against the other, and then those teams’ junior varsities will meet. Polk County is fielding a JV team this season for the first time since 2022.
