With thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday evening, Polk County’s season-opening football game at Chase has been rescheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
With the change, Polk County’s home junior varsity game with Chase, originally set for Thursday, has been canceled. Officials do hope to reschedule the JV game later this season.
More than a dozen games across the state have already moved their kickoffs to Thursday.
