Polk-Mitchell JV football game canceled

Polk County’s junior varsity football game set for Thursday with Mitchell has been canceled.

The Mountaineers had asked to move the game to Polk County due to poor field conditions in its stadium, but with rain continuing to fall Thursday, officials at both schools agreed to cancel the game.

The Wolverine JVs will close their regular season next week at home against Mountain Heritage.
