Polk County moving forward this season with JV football

Polk County will field a junior varsity football team this fall.

Head coach Bruce Ollis said a handful of additional players have joined the team, enabling the Wolverines to field a roster.

“We’ve got 22 kids out for JV football,” Ollis said. “We’re extending the offer to come out and join the team through the first of school next week, and hopefully we’ll pick up a couple more.”

Polk’s first game will be Thursday, Sept. 2 at home against West Henderson.
