Ollis retirement celebration set for April 29

A retirement celebration for former Polk County head football coach Bruce Ollis will be held Saturday, April 29 at Parker-Binns Vineyard in Mill Spring.

The festivities will last from 7-9 p.m. Lite hors d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar available.

There is no charge to attend the celebration, though Jane Ollis asks that anyone planning to attend to please let her know by leaving her a message on Facebook or emailing theollisfamily [at] gmail.com.

Ollis announced in November his intention to retire at the end of the current school year. That ended a career of 36 seasons spent as a head coach, with 18 of those at Polk County.
