McDowell tops Polk JVs, 36-6

McDowell handed Polk County a 36-6 setback Thursday in junior varsity football action in Marion.

The Wolverines (0-2) scored their lone touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 34-yard pass from Lawson Carter to Malakhi Painter.

Polk County returns home Thursday to face Madison in the Western Highlands Conference opener for both teams. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at G.M. Tennant Stadium.
