East Henderson head football coach Steve Whitt resigned Tuesday after a single season at the school, a year that included as 47-17 loss to Polk County, according to a press release issued by the school.

“I am grateful for my time at East Henderson High School and honored to be their head coach,” Whitt said in the release. “The future looks bright with our JV football team finishing 8-1 and winning a share of the conference championship. I wish everyone at East Henderson nothing but the best in the future.”

East Henderson finished 1-10 this season, that lone win coming via forfeit.
