Polk County runners brought home a pair of top-10 finishes Wednesday in the 2019 Bearcat Invitational cross country meet held at The Park at Flat Rock.

Olivia Overholt placed third in the girls race with a time of 20:36.40 while Mark Teague took ninth with a time of 18:02.70 in the boys competition

Owen’s Emma Larios won the girls race in 20:03.80, just ahead of teammate Hannah Larios in 20:23.00.

Polk’s Lindsey Jenkins claimed 20th with a time of 23:54.50, with Emma Brunell just behind in 23rd at 24:03.40 and Taytem Johnson in 24th with a time of 24:17.60. Anna McFadden placed 27th in 24:48.70, with Syler Purtill in 28th at 24:52.00.

Lauren Dotson took 33rd in 25:33.90 while Tori Thompson placed 37th in 25:43.50.

North Henderson’s Brayden Robertson won the boys race with a time of 16:21.40, just five seconds ahead of Smoky Mountain’s Tyler Watterson.

Polk’s Chris Rickman took 31st with a time of 20:24.00, with Kiyon Staley finishing 42nd in 21:01.00. Gus Maass claimed 51st in 22;07.00, with Grant Wooten (53rd, 22:19.60), Ridge Burnett (56th, 22:30.40) and Jackson Geddings (71st, 24:24.20) also competing.
