Polk County’s cross country teams continued Saturday to tune up for postseason competition, competing in the 43rd Trailblazer Invitational at Daniel Boone High School in Gray, Tenn.

Sean Doyle ran to an eighth-place finish in the boys division, posting a time of 17:04.5 on a rainy morning. Daniel Boone’s Ben Varghese won the event with a time of 15:49.3.

Polk County finished 12th in the 23-team field, comprised largely of Tennessee high schools.

In the girls race, Polk County’s India Godlock placed 13th with a time of 20:56.0. Science Hill’s Lydia Lee won the race with a time of 19:28.8
