Potter, Overholt named to All-WNC cross country squad

Polk County senior Caleb Potter and freshmen Olivia Overholt have been named to the All-Western North Carolina cross country squad by the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Potter won the state 1A championship in October, finishing .07 seconds ahead of Lincoln Charter’s Drew Zink to claim the second individual state boys title in school history.

Potter won the Western Highlands Conference title and finished fifth in the 1A West Regional.

Overholt finished 15th at the state 1A meet, qualifying for that competition with her sixth place showing at the 1A West Regional.
