
Polk Middle runners battle in conference cross country meet
Polk County Middle cross country runners completed their season Tuesday, taking part in the Blue Ridge Conference Championships at Apple Valley Middle.
The Polk girls placed 10th in the event, with the Wolverine boys bringing home a ninth-place showing.
Brevard Middle’s boys and Rugby Middle’s girls earned the team titles for the day, with Brevard’s Keaton Campbell (13:20.45) and Waynesville’s Julia Wells (14:27.39) claiming the individual titles in the two-mile event.
