Polk County High runners Caleb Potter and Olivia Overholt have been named the All-Area Runners of the Year by the Times-News.

Potter, a senior, earned the award after winning the state 1A championship by .07 seconds over Lincoln Charter’s Drew Zink, becoming just the second Wolverine to win an individual state title. He also finished as the Western Highlands Conference champion.

Overholt, a freshman, finished 15th at the state 1A meet and also took second in the Western Highlands Conference meet and fourth at the 1-A West Regional.
