Yoder named to All-USA South Athletic Conference squad

Former Polk County football standout Mitchell Yoder has been named to the All-USA South Athletic Conference second team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Yoder, a junior running back at Brevard College, rushed for a team-high 565 yards and six touchdowns this season for the Tornados. He had a career-high 220 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown run, in a 31-27 loss to Methodist College in October.

Yoder’s rushing total was the sixth-best in the conference and helped lead Brevard to a 6-4 record.
