The 2023 Special Olympics North Carolina Equestrian Tournament will be held Sept. 22-24 at Tryon International Equestrian Center.

For the first time, Polk County will have athletes competing in the tournament. Events include showmanship, dressage, western riding, gymkhana races, equitation and working trails.

SONC is looking for volunteers to help with the event, which will includes athletes from throughout North Carolina. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign up online.
