
Gymnasts from Sizemore Gymnastics Academy in Tryon competed at the Monster Mash event in Charleston, S.C. on October 28-29.
Dakota DuPre and Averi Key represented SGA at USAG Level 2. Aria Springs and Josephine Wallace competed at the USAG level 3. Sherlyn Trejo and Kylie Whitinger participated at USAG level 4.
For SGA’s Level 2 team, Dupre earned fifth all-around by raising her all-around score to 34.425 from her third on vault, two points higher than her prior competition. She also earned fifth on bars with 8.95, fifth on beam with 8.425 and fifth on floor with 8.05. Key achieved fifth all-around in her division with 32.05 from her third on bar with 8.85, fourth on beam with 8.3, fourth on floor with 7.9 and fifth on vault with 7.0.
In terms of SGA’s level 3 team, Springs raised her all-around to 32.85 from her seventh on floor with 8.4, 8.75 on vault, 7.9 on beam and 7.8 on bars. Wallace raised her all-around score to 32.2 from her 8.5 on vault, improved bars score of 8.15, improved beam score of 7.9 and raised floor score of 7.65.
For SGA’s Level 4 team, Trejo earned first all-around with 36.875 from her first on bars with 9.6, first on floor with 9.35, first on beam with 9.275 and first on vault with 8.65. Whitinger achieved sixth all-around from her improved score on floor of 8.45, fifth on vault with 8.25, sixth on bars with 8.05 and seventh on beam with 7.55.
