
Sizemore Gymnastics Academy (SGA) started off a new season with 15 gymnasts competing at the Cotton Candy Classic in Huntsville.
Dakota DuPre, Averi Key, Serenity Lindsey, Bella Quinn, Esmé Quinn and Skyla Williams represented SGA at USAG Level 2. Phoebe Aldrich, Neysah Engle, Collins Kerr, Kendall Medina, Aria Springs and Josephine Wallace competed at the USAG level 3. Genevieve Ard, Sherlyn Trejo and Kylie Whitinger participated at USAG level 4.
For SGA’s Level 2 team, Dupre received 32.075 all-around from her 8.475 on beam, 8.25 on vault, 7.975 on bars and 7.375 on floor. Key achieved 8.075 on beam, 7.9 on vault, 7.6 on bars and 7.525 on floor. Lindsey got 7.9 on vault, 7.55 on beam, 7.4 on floor and 7.05 on bars. Bella Quinn received sixth on vault with 8.25, 8.65 on beam, 8.625 on floor and 7.85 on bars. Esmé Quinn achieved sixth on vault with 8.45, 8.6 on beam, 7.6 on bars and 7.275 on floor. Williams got 8.35 on beam, 8.25 on floor, 7.85 on vault and 6.15 on bars.
SGA coaches expressed their pride for the Level 2 team in completing its first competition.
For SGA’s level 3 team, Aldrich earned fourth all-around with 34.75 from her third on vault with 8.925, fourth on floor with 8.65, second on bars with 8.6 and fifth on beam with 8.575. Engle got 31.65 from her seventh on floor with 8.475, 8.2 on vault, 7.725 on beam, and 7.25 on bars. Kerr received 8.55 on beam, 7.875 on bars, 7.65 on vault and 7.175 on floor. Medina earned 8th place all-around with 32.20 from her sixth place on vault with 8.575, seventh on beam with 8.375, 8.2 on floor and 7.05 on bars.
Springs achieved fifth on floor with 8.6, 8.4 on vault, 8.025 on beam and 6.525 on bars. Wallace got fourth place on beam with 8.475, 8.5 on vault, 7.95 on floor and tied for sixth with 7.8 on bars.
For SGA’s Level 4 team, Ard achieved fourth all-around with 35.55 from her fourth on floor with 9.0, tied for fourth with 8.75 on vault, 9.05 on beam and 8.75 on bars. Trejo earned third all-around with her 36.3 from her first on floor with 9.3, first on beam with 9.4, fourth on bars with 8.85 and tied for fourth on vault with 8.75. Whitinger received seventh place all-around with 33.05 from her sixth on beam with 8.85, 8.3 on floor, 8.15 on bars and 7.75 on vault.
