Polk County Volleyball Club’s high school teams closed their 2018 spring season Sunday with a pair of tournament championships while PCVC’s youngest clubs earned bracket titles.

PCVC’s 15U and 16U teams each claimed championships at the Dixie Classic tourney, held in Hendersonville and Spartanburg.

The 15U squad finished atop a 23-team field, going 6-0 over the weekend and not losing a set. PCVC claimed the championship with a 25-22, 25-19 victory over NRV 15 King of Roanoke, Va.

15U team members include Rollins Carter, Marilyn Castillo, Rachael Davis, Kristen Hall, Scout Harmon, Emmie McDowell, Kylee Mullis and Marissa Twitty.

The 16U squad topped a 22-team field to win its group, also going 6-0.

PCVC clinched its title with a 25-23, 23-25, 15-7 victory over North Georgia Aces 16-1 of Gainesville, Ga.

16U team members include Meadow Becker, Carolina Castillo, Landry Edwards, Grace Lauer, Sydney Metcalf, Karla Olguin, Mireya Roman and Sydney Waldman.

PCVC’s 12U team finished 3-2 on the weekend and claimed the Copper Bracket title with a 30-28, 25-12 victory over Axis Elite 12 Academy of Simpsonville, S.C.

12u team members include Hayden Blackwell, Mia Bradley, Elena Carroll, Zaelea Eller, Anna Jackson, Brooklynn Lewis, Kylie Lewis, Meredith McCall, Sophia Overholt, Brianna Powell, Allie Quoyle and Morgan Yoder.

The 13U squad finished 3-3 and also brought home a Copper Bracket title, defeating Piedmont VBC 13 Navy 25-17, 25-20 of Greensboro.

13U team members include Susanna Ashworth, Jessa Kay, Annslee Kilgore, McKenna Morris, Amberlyn Scruggs, Elysia Smith, Ella Waldman, Cameron Ward and Kayleigh Wilson.

The 12U and 13U teams are scheduled to conclude their seasons in May.
