PCYF Termites reach Super Bowl, Mighty Mites make conference final
Polk County Youth Football and Cheer has enjoyed an outstanding postseason, with two of its teams reaching championship games in the Western North Carolina Youth Football and Cheer League.
PCYF’s Mighty Mites (5-6 year-olds) reached the East Division championship game before falling to East Buncombe. The Termites (7-8 year-olds), though, claimed the East Division title, defeating East Buncombe in that matchup.
That victory advanced the Wolverines into the WNCYFC Super Bowl, set for Saturday at 5 p.m. at Bethel Middle School, where the PCYF Termites will face Bethel, the West Division champs.
