PCYF Junior PeeWees earn win, but other squads fall to Upstate Titans

The Upstate Titans handed the Polk County Youth Football Tiney Mites their first loss of the season, taking a 24-6 win Saturday in Mid-Atlantic Carolinas American Youth Football & Cheer Conference action.

The Titans improved to 4-1 with the win while the Wolverines dropped to 5-1. West Gaston leads the Tiney Mites division with a 6-0 record, having scored 174 points without allowing a score.

The Titans also took victories in the Mitey Mites and PeeWees games. The PCYF Mitey Mites dropped to 4-2 on the season with a 22-12 setback while the PeeWees ran into an undefeated Titans squad and suffered a 40-7 defeat.

But all was not lost for PCYF – the Junior PeeWees upped their record to 4-2 with a 20-6 victory.

PCYF teams will host West Gaston on Saturday, the four games beginning at 11 a.m. with the Tiney Mites matchup.
