Polk County Volleyball Club’s 13U Molly squad captured the 13 Club championship Sunday at the 2020 Rally Challenge in Cartersville, Ga.

The squad, led by Polk County head coach Molly Hill, defeated 575 Volleyball 13-2 Naomi 25-4, 25-15 in the championship match. 575 Volleyball is based just outside of Atlanta.

13U Molly dropped just one set in six matches over two days of play, that coming in Sunday’s 25-10, 20-25, 15-9 semifinal win over Alabama Juniors 13 American.

PCVC’s 14U squad, coached by Savannah Webb, placed third in its division, going 5-1 for the weekend. The team dropped a hard-fought 27-25, 25-23 decision to TK 14 Glow Sienna of Roswell, Ga. in the semifinals, then bounced back to earn a 25-22, 28-26 win over Phoenix Rising 14 Sung of Phoenix, Ga. in the third-place match.

PCVC’s 15U squad rolled to a win in the division’s Silver bracket. PCVC won three matches Sunday, including a 25-15, 18-25, 17-15 victory over Fury 15U Smack of Woodstock, Ga.

The 15U team, coached by Shawn Corhn, finished the competition with a 4-2 record and the Silver championship.
