Polk County Volleyball Club’s 14U squad

Polk County Volleyball Club’s three teams enjoyed another successful day of play on Saturday at the Southeast Alliance Volleyball League Spring Madness tournament at locations in North and South Carolina.

Competing in Columbia, S.C., the 12u squad finished second in the Silver B bracket. The 12u squad finished 2-3 for the day, including a dominating 25-4, 25-14 win over Magnum 12 Blue to open the day.

The PCVC 14U squad reached the Gold bracket championship match while playing in the 15 Club division. PCVC won its first four matches of the day in play held in Hendersonville at Xcel Sportsplex to reach the championship match.

In the final, PCVC dropped a 25-16, 22-25, 15-11 decision to Carolina Juniors Volleyball 15 Kadi, a team from Charlotte.

The PCVC 16U team, also competing in Hendersonville, placed third overall, reaching the semifinals of the Gold bracket.

PCVC won three of its first four matches before falling 25-18, 25-21 to Carolina Union Volleyball Club 16 Orange, comprised of players from the Charlotte, Fort Mill and Rock Hill areas.
