PCVC 16U squad opens season with Tennessee tourney

Polk County Volleyball Club’s 16U Savannah squad opened the 2021 season Jan. 23-24 with a trip to the K2 Club Clash 2021 in Sevierville, Tenn.

Playing in their first tournament of the season against teams from around the South, the squad finished 0-5 in the two-day event.

PCVC’s toughest match came late Sunday against C4 Explosive 16 Jayda of the Chattanooga/Dalton, Ga. area. PCVC battled before dropping a tough 25-23, 28-26 defeat.

More than 20 teams took part in the tourney, win by Tri-Cities Explosive Volleyball’s 16 Mallary squad.

Coached by Savannah Webb, players taking part in the weekend tournament for PCVC included Megan Allison, Chelsea Booker, Mia Bradley, Elena Carroll, Sarenity Carroll, Anna Jackson and Lisa Jones.
