PCVC 14U picks up first win at AAU national tournament

Polk County Volleyball Club’s 14U squad earned its first win of the week Tuesday in the second day of play at the 46th AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships in Orlando, Fla.

Polk County Volleyball Club’s 14U squad earned its first win of the week Tuesday in the second day of play at the 46th AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships in Orlando, Fla.

PCVC defeated CVC 13 Navy of Bismarck, N.D. 25-9, 25-17 in the team’s first match of the day.

PCVC then dropped a tough three-set decision to Hawaii-based Lanikai Athletic Club, falling 25-11, 22-25, 15-7. UNO 14 National of Joliet, Ill. handed PCVC a 25-21, 25-19 loss in the final match of the day.

PCVC has three more matches in pool play scheduled for Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m. PCVC will face Texas Eclipse 14 Black of Leander, Tex., ClubOne 14 TC of Brighton, Colo. and Unified 14-Allison of Rochester Hills, Mich.
