Parks and Recreation opens youth baseball, softball registration

Polk County Parks and Recreation is now accepting signups for youth baseball, softball and weeball for the 2021 spring season.

The registration period runs through January 29. Online registration will not be offered, so participants must sign up by calling 828.894.8199 or completing a form at the department office in Stearns Gym in Columbus. The office is open each weekday from 8;30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The programs are open to players ages 4-12.
