Owen earns Conference USA second-team all-conference selection

Former Polk County standout Autumn Owen has been named to the Conference USA All-Conference softball squad for the 2022 season.

Owen, who transferred to Marshall prior to this season, earned second-team selection as an infielder.

Owen finished the season hitting .354 with eight home runs, 23 RBI and 11 doubles. She helped lead the Thundering Herd to a 35-18 record and the semifinals of the CUSA tourney.

Owen’s teammate, Sydney Nester, was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Charlotte’s Bailey Vannoy was the CUSA Player of the Year.
