Former Polk County standout Jordan Ollis is quickly gaining notice in his high school football coaching career.
Ollis, the son of Polk County head coach Bruce Ollis, is one of the speakers at the Glazier Clinic being held starting Friday in Los Angeles. The Glazier Clinics are held throughout the country and considered a top destination for offseason education.
Ollis will be part of a panel discussion on Friday afternoon on 30 Rapid-Fire Game Planning Ideas before offering a series of seessions on Friday evening around eight-man football.
Ollis is currently the head coach at Chadwick Academy in Palos Verdes Peninsula, Ca., where he coaches eight-man football. In Ollis’ first season at Chadwick, the Dolphins finished 8-2 and won their conference championship, with Ollis named the conference’s coach of the year.
Chadwick averaged 33.2 points per game and lost only to CIF-Southern Section Division 1 8-man champion Cate during the regular season. The Dolphins dropped a 26-20 overtime decision to Sage Hill in their playoff opener.
