Local players, coaches help run YMCA soccer camp

A group of Polk County kids had a chance to learn more about the sport of soccer this summer thanks to the Polk County YMCA and some local devotees of the sport.

Former Polk County High player Sara Muse led the camp, with former players Caelan Gaul and Julia Griffin assisting along with current Wolverine players Caroline Taylor, Maggie Johnson and Kylie Lewis.

Also stopping by the help with camp instruction were Polk County Middle girls coach Stephanie Luedi and Polk County High girls coach Lennox Charles.

Campers had a great time throughout the week and learned a lot of fundamentals and strategies to help with their development.
