UNC Greensboro sophomore India Godlock has been enjoying a successful spring track and field season.

Godlock has posted personal-best times in her last two meets, notching a 4:58.02 in the 1500 meters at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting on March 21-23 and an 18:15.56 in the 5000 meters at the Fred Hardy Invitational on March 29-30.

Godlock’s 5000-meter effort was good enough for third in the meet. She also had a ninth-place effort at the Wendy’s Seahawk Invitational in early March.

WITTENBERG TENNIS: Senior Alivia Livesay teamed with Carli Milano to earn an 8-6 win in No. 2 doubles in Friday’s regular-season finale with Otterbein, a 6-2 loss.

The Tigers finished the season with an 8-8 record, their best record in seven years. The team will compete in the NCAC Tournament on April 26-28 in Indianapolis.

Livesay has posted a 6-7 record in singles this season while also going 8-7 in doubles play.

APPALACHIAN STATE TRACK: Junior Sean Doyle had a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters at the Adidas Winthrop University Invitational in March.

Doyle posted a time of 1:56.33 in the race. He bettered that time at this weekend’s Duke Invitational, running a 1:56.18, and has been competing exclusively in the 800 meters this outdoor season.

GARDNER-WEBB TRACK: Mitchell Brown helped Gardner-Webb’ 4×400-meter relay team notch a 13th-place finish at the Duke Invitational.

The Bulldogs had a time of 3:33.36 in the event.

Brown has competed in both the 1500 meters and 5000 meters this spring. He posted a 4:22.27 in the 1500 at the Charlotte 49er Classic in mid-March.

MONTREAT TRACK AND FIELD: Sophomore Troy Lieberman cleared 13-5 1/4 to earn seventh in the pole vault at the Catamount Classic track and field meet on April 12-13.

Lieberman, who took second in the Appalachian Athletic Conference indoor championships in the meet, placed fourth at the Lenoir Rhyne University Classic Track & Field Meet in early April.

Teammate Eli Hall, a senior, took 16th in the 800 meters at the Catamount Classic with a time of 2:02.63. He also helped the 4×800-meter relay time place fourth at the Montreat College Invitational in late March.

GUILFORD TECH BASEBALL: Freshman Holden Owens finished 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored in Guilford’s 14-3 win at Bryant & Stratton College in April 7.

Owens has appeared in 18 games this season, hitting .200 for the season with four RBI in 40 at-bats.
