Polk County’s boys tennis team delivered a flawless home performance Wednesday, sweeping East Rutherford 9-0 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference play.
In singles play, Banks Barber and Riley Ballentine set the tone at the top of the lineup, both recording 6-0, 6-0 shutouts against their East Rutherford opponents. Charlie Wagoner continued the momentum with a decisive 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
Morgan Allen secured a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the fourth spot, while Harris Windsor and Grayson Meyer completed the singles sweep with matching 6-2, 6-0 wins.

The dominance continued in doubles play where the Wolverines surrendered just three games across all three matches. The top pairing of Barber and Ballentine blanked their opponents 8-0, a score matched by Wagoner and Meyer at No. 2 doubles. Allen and Windsor closed out the perfect afternoon with an 8-3 victory.
Polk County (2-2) will look to build on this momentum when they return to conference action Monday, traveling to face Brevard in another Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matchup.
