Polk County closed out its regular season Monday with a home loss to Hendersonville in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference boys tennis match.

The visiting Bearcats (9-2, 8-1) showcased their depth across both singles and doubles play, sweeping all but one match against the Wolverines (5-5, 5-5), who now await the release of the NCHSAA 1A state playoff brackets on April 25.

The Wolverines’ lone victory came at No. 5 singles, where sophomore Harris Windsor delivered a strong performance in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, over Hendersonville’s Alex Chacon.
