Hendersonville swept the doubles matches and won five of six singles matches to defeat Polk County 8-1 in Wednesday’s Western Highlands Conference boys tennis match in Hendersonville.

Ethan Jenne provided Polk County’s only point, defeating Alex Chacon 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.

Harris Windsor lost to Andy Trnka 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Charlie Wagoner fell to Izaiah Campos 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Jacob Jenne dropped his match to Ethan Jones 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Morgan Allen lost a three-set tiebreaker to Calvin Hockenberry 2-6, 6-4, 10-5 at No. 5 singles, and Isaac Hodges fell to Matthew Owen 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

In doubles play, Trnka and Campos defeated Wagoner and Ethan Jenne 8-2 at No. 1. Jones and Chacon beat Windsor and Allen 8-3 at No. 2, while Hockenberry and Owen edged Jacob Jenne and Hodges 9-7 at No. 3.

Polk County (1-1, 1-1 WHC) travels to Owen on Monday for another Western Highlands Conference match.

Hendersonville improved to 3-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
