Wolverines place five on 1A All-Region 10 soccer squad

Five Polk County players have been named to the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association 1A All-Region 10 team.

Wolverine seniors Matias Akers, Adam Kehrer, Gaige Lewis, Mateo Mendoza and junior Greyson Ball were each named to the all-region team. Swain placed five players on the team while Murphy had three.

Polk County finished 8-3-1, reaching the second round of the state 1A playoffs.
