
Polk County’s junior varsity earned its second win of the season Wednesday – with emphasis.
The Wolverines rolled to a 7-0 win over East Rutherford in a meeting of Mountain Foothills 7 Conference sides in G.M. Tennant Stadium.
Cooper Meyer and Blake Anderson each scored two goals for Polk County (2-5-1), which had lost three of its last four matches by a one-goal margin.
Tanner Osborn, Thomas Varnadore and Brinson Ashworth also scored for the Wolverines.
Polk County is back in action on Monday, hosting Brevard in another MF7 match set to kick off at 5 p.m.
