Polk County continued its dominant season Wednesday night, cruising to a 7-0 victory over Madison in Western Highlands Conference play at G.M. Tennant Stadium.
The Wolverines built a commanding 4-0 halftime lead before adding three more goals in the second half to improve to 8-0-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Thomas Varnadore and Erik Pena led the offensive attack with three and two goals, respectively. Blake Anderson and Cooper Meyer each added a goal in the victory.

The scoring was distributed throughout the match with Brennan Oates, Anderson, Mason Hudson, Wyatt Highsmith and Tallis Metcalf each recording an assist.
Goalkeeper Charlie Wagoner made three saves to secure Polk County’s fifth shutout of the season.
Madison fell to 2-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Polk County will return to action Wednesday when it travels to Avery for another Western Highlands Conference matchup.
