Topher Pearson got the Wolverines (2-0) on the board first, scoring on a header after a pass from Cole Pereira. Evan Jones followed with a goal off a cross from Pearson before Madison’s defense redirected an Eno Baker cross into the net for an own goal.

Cade Bright notched a shutout in goal thanks in large part to the defense of Brian Bautista, Auston Ledford, Brandon Troyer and Freedom Moser, which didn’t allow a shot on goal.
