A second-half goal Monday lifted Owen to a 1-0 win over Polk County in Western Highlands Conference soccer action in Swannanoa.

The Warhorses (5-1-1, 3-0) eked out a one-goal win over the Wolverines (2-2-1, 1-2) for the second time this season. The two teams meet again March 3 at Polk County.

Owen’s Biby Ruiz Rojas scored the lone goal of the match.

Polk County returns home Wednesday to face Avery in a 6 p.m. contest that will be broadcast via the NFHS Network.
