Polk County senior Wil Rimer earned a spot on the all-Western North Carolina boys soccer squad as chosen by the Citizen-Times.
Rimer was named to the All-WNC second team and was the only Western Highlands Conference player named to either the first or second team. Fellow Wolverine senior Jeremy Allsbrook earned honorable mention.
Rimer, the WHC player of the year, scored 40 goals this season in leading Polk County to the WHC regular-season championship and the third round of the state 2A playoffs.
