R-S Central tops Polk County in MF7 matchup

Eno Baker and Riley Coldren each scored goals Monday to lift R-S Central to a 2-0 win over Polk County in boys soccer action in Rutherfordton.

The Hilltoppers improved to 4-5-1 overall, 1-1 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference play with the win. The Wolverines dropped to 0-9, 0-3.

Polk County returns home Tuesday to face East Henderson in a non-conference match. Junior varsity play begins at 5 p.m., with the varsity to follow. Both matches will air live on NFHS Network.
