Polk County senior Cooper Meyer has been selected for the 2026 East-West All-Star Game set for July 21 at Grimsley High School in Greensboro.
Meyer was selected to the West squad for the annual event matching the state’s top high school players. He is the only Western North Carolina player selected for the West squad, coached by West Caldwell’s Thomas Clark.
Meyer helped lead Polk County to an 18-1-3 record and the state 3A championship match, scoring a team-high 25 goals and adding a team-leading 13 assists.

The East squad includes Junior Ayestas and Felix Funez of Wallace-Rose Hill, which defeated Polk County in the state championship match.
