Polk’s Azar earns spot on All-WNC soccer squad

Polk County sophomore Sebastian Azar earned mention on the All-WNC boys soccer team as chosen by the Citizen-Times in Asheville.

Azar received a spot on the All-WNC Boys Soccer Third Team. The sophomore forward scored 17 goals and added seven assists for the Wolverines, who finished with a 11-10-2 record and reached the third round of the state 1A playoffs.

Brevard’s Noah Backes was named the WNC Player of the Year, with Enka’s Jason ReMine named the All-WNC Coach of the Year.
