Polk updates boys soccer schedule for final weeks of season

Polk County has set its boys soccer schedule for the remainder of the fall season, updating games postponed in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

The state 1A playoffs will now begin November 9, with seeding taking place on November 7, following action Wednesday by the NCHSAA Board of Directors.

Here is the updated schedule for the Wolverines for the remainder of the season:

Monday, Oct. 14: R-S Central, home, 6 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 18: Brevard, home, 5 p.m./ 6:45 p.m. (JV and varsity)
Monday, Oct. 21: Chase, home, 5 / 6:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 23: East Rutherford, away, 5 / 6:45 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 28: Brevard, away, 4 / 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 30: Patton, away, 6 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 4: East Rutherford, home, 5 / 6:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 6: Hendersonville, home, 5 / 6:45 p.m.
