
Polk County’s varsity soccer team concluded one of the best seasons in the program’s history, certainly at the 2A level, with the program’s annual postseason awards banquet on Monday at Polk County Middle School.
The Wolverines finished 17-5-1 this season, reaching the third round of the state 2A playoffs.
Seniors Wil Rimer and Jeremy Allsbrook were named the co-players of the year. Rimer finished with 40 goals, narrowly missing a school record, while Allsbrook set the single-season school record with 30 assists.

Defensive player of the year: Garrett Weicker
Wolverine Award: Brad Blackwell, Nate Smart

Defensive player of the year: Jordan Wyatt
