Matias Akers had two goals Monday, both on passes from Cameron Greve, with Wylie Rauschenbach scoring the other on a cross from Jack Smith.

Avery (2-6, 2-5) added its goal late in the match.

“We kept possession of the ball mostly, we played very aggressively and challenged every ball,” said Polk County head coach Josh Trejo. “Overall, a very good game from the boys.”

The two teams meet again Wednesday at Avery in what will be the final match of the regular season for Polk County.
