Polk County Middle School extended its winning streak to three games Thursday with a 7-0 victory over at Chase Middle in a non-conference matchup.
After a measured start, the Wolverines found their rhythm when Owen Justice opened the scoring in the 12th minute, collecting a wing pass from Callaway Cameron before outpacing his defender and finishing inside the near post.
Foster Meyer doubled the advantage in the 30th minute, latching onto a perfectly weighted ball over the defense from Rhys Jackson and striking home with his left foot to give Polk a 2-0 halftime lead.

The Wolverines’ attack exploded in the second half with five goals in a 16-minute span. Meyer notched his second goal in the 44th minute off Justice’s assist, followed by Alec Fine’s individual effort through two defenders eight minutes later.
Henry Brooks added to the tally in the 54th minute, finishing at the back post from Julian Albarran’s cross. Justice scored his second two minutes later with a composed finish past the goalkeeper, and Albarran capped the scoring with the final kick of the match in the 60th minute.
“We did not attack the ball well enough and move the ball fast enough in the first half,” Polk Middle head coach Lennox Charles said. “We did a better job of both in the second half.”
The victory keeps Polk County’s momentum rolling as they prepare to host Rugby on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
