Polk County’s junior varsity soccer team extended its winning streak to two games Monday, defeating Mountain Heritage 3-1 in Western Highlands Conference action at G.M. Tennant Stadium.
The victory improves Polk County’s season record to 4-2-1.
The Wolverines controlled the pace throughout the match, finding the net three times against a visiting Mountain Heritage squad. The defensive unit remained solid, allowing just one goal to maintain Polk’s recent impressive defensive performances.

Oakley Whiteside, Erik Ramirez Torres and Tomas Santibanez each scored for Polk County, which took a 2-1 lead late in the first half and never relinquished it en route to the victory.
Polk County will look to extend its winning streak when it hosts Madison on Wednesday. That match is set for a 5 p.m. kickoff at G.M. Tennant Stadium.
