Polk County’s strong start to the 2025 season continued Monday night as the Wolverines posted a convincing 4-0 victory over East Rutherford in non-conference action.
The Wolverines (2-0-0) maintained their perfect record with a dominant performance that saw Thomas Varnadore lead the attack with two goals. Sebastian Azar and Cooper Meyer each added single tallies to complete the scoring for Polk County.
The Wolverines’ offense showed impressive chemistry throughout the match, with Meyer, Tallis Metcalf, and defender Mason Hudson providing assists. Hudson, from his outside back position, proved particularly dangerous with several penetrating runs into Cavalier territory that nearly resulted in additional goals.
