In a back-and-forth contest featuring two of the area’s hottest teams, Polk County and Patton settled for a 2-2 draw Wednesday in non-conference soccer action.
The result keeps both teams unbeaten early in the season with identical 2-0-1 records. For Polk County, the draw extends their unbeaten streak to three matches, while Patton saw its impressive defensive run come to an end after not conceding a goal in its first two contests.
The Wolverines found success through their set-piece execution, with both goals coming via corner kicks. Sebastian Azar and Cooper Meyer converted their opportunities, benefiting from well-placed services by Tanner Osborn and Tallis Metcalf.
