Polk County’s Cooper Meyer started and played 46 minutes as the West rolled to a 3-1 victory over the East in the East-West All-Star Soccer Game on Tuesday at Truist Point Stadium in High Point.

The win snapped a long drought for the West, which had not won in the previous five all-star games. The East had gone 3-0-2 over that stretch.

Fernando Hernandez of Southwestern Randolph scored twice for the West, with both goals assisted by Southwestern Randolph teammate Aaron Avina.
